Email Communication Lists (ListServ)

‘ListServ’ is the name used for the email lists provided to the Horace Mann community by Miles Fidelman, a former HM parent, with funding from Village Bank. There are 2 lists, an Announcement list and a Discussion list. It is possible to subscribe to either one or both of the lists.

The Community Database committee helps keep the lists updated with new members.

Announcement List

The Announcement list is moderated by the PTO officers. This is where the community shares information relevant to the school, teachers, program, etc. The Moderation Policy is: The announcement list should only be used for announcements (e.g. meetings, reminders, etc.) relative to the school, that don't provoke discussion or comments. It is not meant for school discussions, personal emails, community ads or classifieds.

To subscribe to the list, change subscription settings, or to unsubscribe: send an email to hm-parents-announce-request@lists.neighborhood.net and put SUBSCRIBE hm-parents-announce or UNSUBSCRIBE hm-parents-announce in the subject line.

To send an Announcement email, create an email and send to:
hm-parents-announce@lists.neighborhood.net

Discussion List

The Discussion list is not moderated, so we ask that decorum be observed. This is where the community can conduct discussions about hot topics, place classifieds and other community ads.

To subscribe to the list, change subscription settings, or to unsubscribe: send an email to hm-parents-request@lists.neighborhood.net

and put SUBSCRIBE hm-parents or UNSUBSCRIBE hm-parents in the subject line.
